    I mean come on people we’re getting an asian female actor playing one of the most well-known character in modern history

    and you want them to cast, what, a white male?

    I mean I understand that obviously in the original canon both of the main characters were white males, but since they’re revamping it for modern times anyway, isn’t it kind of awesome that they’re straying from norms?

    especially since Sherlock BBC (as much as I adore it) has some serious problems with sexism and the portrayal of east asian cultures?
